Job Duties:
· Work under supervision of a licensed professional engineer.
· Develop conceptual designs by collaborating with architects and other project stakeholders to understand project requirements, goals, and constraints.
· Generate preliminary designs that explore different structural systems and materials to optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
· Develop project scopes, timelines, and budgets in collaboration with project managers and architects.
· Coordinate with other disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical) to integrate structural designs into overall project plans.
· Create and develop preliminary and detailed designs for structures based on architectural drawings and engineering calculations.
· Ensure designs comply with building codes, regulations, and standards.
· Review and analyze technical specifications and requirements.
· Coordinate a team of structural designers and engineers.
· Assign tasks and oversee workload distribution to ensure timely completion of deliverables.
· Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
· Communicate with clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
· Present design proposals and updates to clients, addressing any concerns or modifications.
· Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of designs.
· Conduct structural analyses and simulations to verify design integrity and performance.
· Prepare detailed design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
· Perform drawing review.
· Employ AutoCAD and Revit for drafting and modeling structural components within the context of architectural plans.
· Utilize specialized structural analysis and design software such as RAM Structural System, RISA 3D, and SP Mat for performing complex analyses and generating design calculations.
· Use different software’s such as AutoCAD, RISA 3D, MathCAD, ETABS and SAP2000 to analyze and design different structures.
· Maintain accurate records of design revisions and project milestones.
· Resolve technical issues and challenges encountered during the design and construction phases.
· Make informed decisions regarding design modifications or improvements.
· Provide technical support and clarification to contractors and subcontractors.
· Compute loads for different types of structures according to prevailing building codes to determine design specifications.
· Analyzing different material buildings such as steel, concrete, wood, aluminum, and also design and check the connection and foundation details.
Job Requirements: Master’s in Structural Engineering, Master of Science in Structural Engineering, or Master of Science in Civil Engineering with major or concentration in Structural Engineering; or its foreign equivalent.
Must have at least six (6) months of experience in job offered, Structural Designer, Site Engineer, Structural Engineer (Trainee), Structural Designer (Trainee).
Experience other than the job offered must include six months of experience in Computing loads, drawing review, design documentation, RISA 3D, AutoCAD, MathCAD, Revit.

Job Duties:
• Work under the direct supervisor of licensed engineers.
• Organize technical data collected from the project team.
• Use 2D or 3D software to produce sketches, schemes, models and detailed drawings.
• Check that drawings meet quality and technical standards.
• Interpret engineers’ drawings, and fix any inaccuracies.
• Assess clients’ needs and plan work and collect and analyze technical data.
• check construction plans for possible design problems.
• advise clients on the construction team, building materials and processes to use.
• Site visit to field direct supervision to compile measurements and ascertain the customer’s,
make as-build drawings. Focuses on the drawing from observation of buildings and
architectural space. Record the built environment.
• Draw rough and then detailed scale plans for foundations, homes, and business structures,
based on preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations and other data.
• Create hand sketches, 3D models and technical plans using computer aided design such as
Revit, AutoCAD, Revu, Enscape, Sketchup, SolidWorks, Photoshop and other design
tools.
• Obtain and calculate the necessary data to complete the architectural designs, including
analysis of building codes, by-laws, space and site requirements and other necessary
technical documentation. International building codes and relevant legal issues.
• Inspect and determine if structures are in compliance with local, federal or international
standards.
• Plan the interior arrangements of buildings, designing and organizing room placement.
• Design and organize in detail new and existing buildings according to relevant building
codes.
• Optimize designs to reduce construction costs.
• Interior design optimization.
• Determine the procedures and instructions to be followed, according to the specifications
of the beneficiary’s designs.
• Research international building codes and relevant legal issues.
• Inspect and determine if structures are in compliance with local, federal or international
standards.
• Coordinate the drawing and design team, both local and international.
• Communicate with the construction team at the construction site, who are Spanish
speakers, to give instructions and clarify doubts and resolve questions regarding the
construction plans so that everything is according to what was designed and complies with
building codes.
Requirements: Bachelor’s or its foreign equivalent in Architectural Engineering,
Architect, architecture, or similar field.
Must have at least twelve (12) months of experience in job offered,
Architect Designer, Architectural Designer, Architect, Architect Engineer
in Trainee (EIT), Auxiliary of Architecture or similar position.
The job also requires language proficiency in Spanish to communicate
with construction team.
